  • About ME

Teaching experience at the secondary and post-secondary levels in history and government with a passion for diversity education and curriculum development.

I am currently the Dean of Academics at The Derryfield School in Manchester, New Hampshire where I teach both Advanced Topics courses in United States History along with contemporary International Relations. At Derryfield, I have also been Director of Curriculum and Chair of the History Department, taught Environmental Studies and regular United States History and coached Model United Nations and Mock Trial.

Before this, I taught for four years at Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland where I specialized in Advanced Placement and Honors classes, but also taught introductory and ELL sections. I was also Co-Director of Diversity, coached Model United Nations and organized curriculum redesigns for both government and history.

Before coming to Oldfields, I was PhD ABD at the College of William and Mary where I also earned my Master's Degree in History and taught classes in Global and United States History. Before that, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from American University with degrees in History and Literature.
